Wow!! I can’t believe its been almost 4 months already since Bella was born!!!! Time really does fly. Here is a picture of her just 2 months ago, isn’t she sooooo stinking cute!!!
Well its almost time for me to go back to work and I am sooooo incredibly sad about that. I have been menaing to set up this blog for months now, LOL……(story of my life, LOL) So I thougt I better get on it and get it done!!! Im hoping this will be a good way of sharing pictures of Bella and the family and keeping everyone in touch with her as she grows up.
I know that im that ABSOLUTE worst at calling people back and keeping in touch with everyone. Vince did a really good job while we were in labor but since than we have sucked. I have alot of friends and family that live out of town and have been asking for updates and pictures of the baby. They all want to know what i looked like when i was pregnant, ....LOL ummm, I looked very fat, that is what i looked like LOL =) I also get a lot of questions about the journey we went through to have Bella and the Invitro. So my goal here is to post our story and catch everyone up and share memories with them. so sorry for some of you this will be old info. My 2nd goal is to make weekly post of our new Happy Little Family, show you all pix of my Beautiful lil Miss B as she grows up, and keep you all up to date of whats going on in our new exciting world of raising the cutest baby on earth!!!!! So here goes, I hope you all enjoy our journey to our greatest Miracle….our Isabella!!!
The Miracle of Science!!! Thank god for this our we wouldn't have our lil Bella Bee!!!
Isabella Addison Vatsvog, was conceived via invitro fertilization, on November 19, 2008. She was one of about 20 eggs that were harvested. Her and the gang had a little party with Vinces' swimmers and out of those 20 eggs, about 13 or so fertilized. she was 1 of the 2 strongest and at 5 days old they were placed into her new happy home were she would live for the next 10 months and grow into a healthy happy baby! Here she is now...
IzzyB at 5 days old
Amazing huh!!! not many people have this picture huh, hehe lol What a miracle to think that this is were my little squirming, pooping machine, that has a smile that will melt your heart came from.
The past few years have been quiet the rollercoaster for us. We had been trying to get pregnant for years and went through a lot of infertility treatments before doing the IVF. IVF is quiet an emotional ordeal to say the least. I had to take alot of different drugs and get shots each and everyday, in the stomach and in "oh this one was my favorite" the HEINY.....lucky vince, he was the one that got to give them to me, and lets just say i had a sore a$$ for a long time.....check out that needle…..
Some of the many drugs I had to take…..
So after our trip to Seattle were we got implanted we went back home to wait, and wait and wait some more….those were the longest 10 days of our lives!!!!!! And than Dec. 5th came and YEAH!!!!!! We were finally pregnant after all this time, the dream had come true!!!!! I really did love being pregnant, people are so much nicer to you when you are pregnant. Strangers smile at you and everyone wants to talk to you and touch your belly =) I didn’t mind that at all, I like how nice everyone was. It was a very scary 9 mo’s though. Mostly the first 3 mo’s, I was always scared something bad would happen, it wasn’t like I could just have sex and make another one….=0 my first trimester I was very very sleepy, took a lot of naps and found out at about 9 weeks that we had 2 babies in there. We were very excited about that, get 2 for the price of 1 and get our family all done in one shot!!! Well that wasn’t ment to be and we lost one the following week. I was very sad but now looking back I have no idea how I would ever be able to handle 2 babies!!! 2nd trimester came and I got my energy back and was less scared but that fear of loosing your baby never really leaves you and is always in the back of your mind. My placenta was in front of the baby so I couldn’t really feel her moving at all until like 26 weeks or so. So I got a heart monitor so I could listen to her when ever I felt a little scared………here are some pregnancy pix!!!!
6 weeks
19 weeks
22 weeks
35 weeks
37 weeks
39 weeks
Holy crap I look as big as a house!!! It did seem like I was pregnant forever and as much as I wanted the baby to get here, I never felt ready. I was so busy getting her nursery ready!! How funny how when your pregnant you feel like you have to have everything before the baby gets here and half the stuff I haven’t even used yet…..what a ROOKY mistake!!!!! So during pregnancy I had a lot of stuff that didn’t go as I hoped….the placenta was a big one, everyone usually feels their baby kicking and moving around 15 - 22 weeks well I didn’t feel her till about 26 weeks, so that really sucked, than I got gestational diabetes and there went my favorite thing in all the world….yep COFFEE ICE CREAM, it was horrible, the things we give up, hehe….so the because of the diabetes the dr was going to take her early at 39 weeks, I had a scheduled appt on the 6th to be induced. So I stopped working on the last day of July and thought I’d take a couple days off and me and my new pregnant friend sara , who I met at birthing class would spend some relaxing time at the beach getting some much needed R&R before our babies came and tooke up all our time.... here we are now comparing belly sizes and practicing our GGgggRrrrrrr at eachother....LOL
So anyways, our little Miss B had other plans for me………NO beach time, NO relaxing she decided to wake me up on Monday morning around 4AM with a goosh of water in my bed!!!! NICE HUH!!! So I pretty much freaked out, ran around the house like a chicken with my head cut off and we finally made it tot the hospital around 6am. They admitted me and we waited. After my water broke that was the end of the excitement, we waited and nothing happened. I wasn’t dilating at all, just having contractions but they didn’t hurt at all, just felt like cramps. So finally at like 4pm they induced me and gave me some patosin. That made the cramps and contractions much worse but I still wasn’t dilating. my cervix was all messed up and the dr had to open it up himself and once he did that I was like a 9 or something, so I pushed for 1 hr and 45 min’s but she was stuck under my pelvic bone and so at 12:35am Tuesday morning we had a C-Section and little Isabella was born. She weighed 7lbs 7 ounces, and was 19 inches long. She came out with a full head of very dark hair and black eyes.
Proud papa!!
